This Volume V a numbered volume copy from Set #249, Flectcher S. Hines, one of the 195 original subscribers to “The North American Indian,” with seventy - five plates on Holland Van Gelder paper.
The condition of this Volume V is very good. Overall, this example of Volume V presents in very good original condition. The pages all remain crisp and bright, the images all crisp and well inked with minor foxing seen from the presence of the original interleaving tissue. Binding is solid, and when open the Volume remains crisp and tight. The spine and four corners of the front and back covers bound in brown morocco leather, covers are of laminated binders board with the central panel on each board covered with heavy cloth, presents in very good original condition with some wear to the spine and corners.
