Vintage Goldtone in the original Curtis Studio frame with a partial Curtis Studio description label intact on back of frame, 8 X 10, circa 1905.

The image itself is luminous, neither too dark nor too light, representing the perfect and most desired exposure to be found in the Goldtone process. This Goldtone is one of the only 15 percent that were produced by Curtis which had both perfect exposure, neither too light nor too dark, and a flawless emulsion, free of any imperfections in the emulsion, no finger prints or flaws whatsoever.

The original Curtis Studio frame is in excellent original condition with only minor wear found along one corner edge.

This fabulous Goldtone of An Oasis In The Badlands has remained in the same family's collection since it was originally purchased over 90 years ago.
